Welcome to Sticks Ore Stones!

Twenty five years ago while flipping through a magazine, I came across a photo of  twig furniture on someone's porch and a love affair began.  After numerous inquiries into where such furniture could be purchased, I came up empty-handed.  So the search morphed into "where can I learn to build such peices?"   But still came up with no results.  Finally, success came when one small section in a rustic furniture book found at the local library gave instructions on how to build a child size chair.  The rest is history.

As with any artisan, designs and techniques change over time.  My current work involves the introduction of other materials such as natural stone, copper, driftwood and found objects. I have always loved rocks, minerals and various stones.  Some pieces lean towards a cabin feel, others blend just as well into more modern or contemporary spaces. Tables and accent pieces can fit in almost anywhere. Hence the term "rustic chic".
